The Tour de Thanks – Charity Partner

A cycle ride to thank thousands of incredible volunteers during the COVID-19 Pandemic.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, Volunteering Matters set off on a huge Tour de Thanks cycle challenge to thank the amazing people who had given time manning vaccination centres, mental health support lines or staffing food banks – the impact these unsung heroes have made to people’s lives during the pandemic has been incredible.

During June 2021, Paul Reddish, CEO of Volunteering Matters zipped up his lycra cycling jersey and stocked up on energy bars to cycle the 1000km between the Scottish and English capitals. On his journey, he was joined by special guests riding alongside him including his father, Paralympian swimmer and former Paralympics GB Chairman Tim Reddish CBE and his guide dog.

With the help of their friends and ours from ‘Pin Your Thanks’ special edition ‘The People’s Medals’ were handed out on the journey to those who have dedicated their time, skills, compassion and support to help others.

As a partner and sponsor for the event, Imaginators supported this incredible fund-raising challenge by providing branding including a complete vehicle wrap of the support vehicle for the cyclists and bikes. Whilst wrapping vehicles is not core to Imaginators business it was solution the Imaginators team could quickly adapt its skills to with spectacular results.

Our in-house team, COVID-19 aside, more used to working on event, music and sport branding for high profile events, prepared a new fully electric Vauxhall Vivaro with a complete vinyl wrap which include specialist self-coloured vehicle film and printed graphics all protected by a high gloss protective film for the arduous journey.

The client said ‘Massive thanks for all your incredible support and generosity during the pandemic. You have made a huge impact’.
