At the Heroes Return celebration in Trafalgar Square on Tuesday, thousands gathered to celebrate Great Britain’s medal haul in the summer’s games in Rio.

Familiar with providing sports branding from our work at the London 2012 Olympics, Imaginators were tasked with branding the iconic Trafalgar Square an event space our event branding team are also very familiar with – during the summer months Trafalgar Square almost becomes our second home throughout a busy outdoor event season for which Imaginators provide a wide range of bespoke event branding solutions.

Imaginators provided giant backdrop sets which formed the centre stage for live television coverage. Working closely with the event organiser, our production and installation teams worked day and night to finalise the branded items which comprised of backdrop sets, set flats, balustrade branding, large format printing and way finding signage in addition to heras fence covers and heras fence branding.

Team GB won 67 medals in Rio, two more than they gained at London 2012, while the Paralympians won 147 medals. Imaginators experience in sports branding combined with our reputation in providing a wide range of event branding and event graphics ensured a heroes’ return for the record-breaking Olympic and Paralympic athletes who thrilled the nation at the Rio Games.
