05 May Creative Industries Network at ITV Studios, London
Imaginators were invited to attend the Creative Industries Network at ITV Studios, London.
Now in it’s second year, over 30 professionals attended the Felsted Creative Industries Network at ITV Studios, London. The evening was hosted by Mike Beale, Managing Director, Global Creative Network, ITV Studios. The evening helped to inspire the sixth form students of Felsted School to learn more about the diversity of professions available across creative industries, as they got a chance to speak with business owners working across a wide range of sectors such as digital design, creative design, production, printing, music, acting, architecture, film, TV, communications and much more.
In the UK the Creative Industries include advertising and marketing, arts and film, TV and radio, printing and museums and galleries and is now worth almost £92bn, according to the figures published by the UK Department for Digital, Media, Culture and Sport. Britain’s creative industries play an essential role shaping how we are seen around the world but as these new statistics show they are also a vital part of the economy.
The sector is now one of our fastest growing industries and continues to outperform the wider UK economy. This is a testament to the talent and drive of its workforce and we are working closely with them to make sure this fantastic success continues.
Matt Tydeman, Director of Imaginators commented “This really is a unique opportunity for students to meet professionals across a variety of creative industries as they consider a possible career within such a thriving economic sector. The evening was insightful, educational and fun. It was also good to meet both old and new friends from Felsted.”
