Full Compliance and Certification

The Kavalan range of PVC free materials includes a variety of alternatives to the key materials commonly used in large format digital printing. All are certified to the strict ‘Life Cycle Assessment’ standard which provide a credible and comparable method of environmental metrics and confirms Kavalans superior eco-performance over traditional PVC banner.

Kavalan is a ground-breaking alternative to PVC that doesn’t compromise on quality, vibrancy or impact. Available in wide 3.2m rolls and superwide 5m rolls, the entire Kavalan range of PVC free materials are Reach Compliant, PVC free, Phthalate free, use non-toxic water based coatings, are fire retardant to B1 (EN13501-1/DIN53361 and NFPA 701). Additionally, whilst lighter in weight than a regular PVC material they offer similar or greater tensile strength.

Kavalan Sunlight

Suitable for both internal and external usage, Sunlight is an economical and lightweight frontlit banner material with a grey reverse, combining the smooth flexibility of a non-PVC material with all the strength and robustness you would expect from traditional PVC. It’s water-based coating gives it the durability to withstand the effects of weather and is the perfect solution for signage, events and exhibitions. Importantly it is fully compatible with both out UV and Latex inks.

Kavalan Butterfly

A double-sided block-out textile material that remains both smooth and level, perfect for internal and short-term external two-way signage and hanging banners. Butterfly boasts the performance, look and feel of a coated textile or banner materials, allows for printing on both sides and is perfectly compatible with both our UV and Latex inks.

Kavalan Spiderweb

Lightweight and strong – this mesh alternative has the strength, performance, look and feel of a regular PVC mesh banner with only half the weight and delivers excellent ‘show-through’ as well as unrivalled colour vibrancy and image quality.
