Olympics

London 2012 Olympics 1 Year To Go ceremony was a globally televised event to showcase the preparations for the Olympics and invite the world to visit London for the greatest show of all time

Imaginators project management team worked closely with Production, Stage, Sound and Light partners to design, produce and install full site event branding. The unique stage design was built to include the Trafalgar Square lions on-stage. Flanking the stage wings giant video screens were dressed with matt finish scrims mounted to timber framework to include video aperture.

The full stage backdrop consisted of a fabric drape tensioned and secured with discreet fixings beneath the stage. Rostrums for VIP’s and flag bearers were produced and dressed by Imaginators crew. The stage was crowned with a 3D 2012 Olympic logo flown from mid stage truss.

Working with Star Events rigging team Imaginators produced three Olympic ‘on demand reveal’ sails which flew up in front of the National Gallery synchronized to music and confetti cannon. With a live TV audience there was no margin for error.

The site was also dressed with various branded large ‘statement’ pods, Heras fence covers and Balustrade banner frames mounted on the north Terrace.

A flawless execution, professionally completed on time and on budget.
